We aim to provide happy and supportive surroundings for the children in our care and a place to provide a wide range of learning experiences to help ensure the full growth and development of the child – physically, intellectually, socially and morally.
Education is a partnership and we look forward to working with you and your child. We therefore believe that we can achieve the best for your child by close co-operation between home and school. Every opportunity will be given for you to share in your child’s education and we are always available to talk to you about any aspect of your child’s development.
We are working to provide a quality learning environment for younger children in our village offering preschool provision for children over 3 years.
Whilst in our academy children below school age will work with their “Key Person” in a play based environment following their interests and developing early skills. Your children will play and learn alongside other children who are at a later stage in their Early Years Foundation Stage.
Our Preschool
Our preschool (Caterpillars Class) consists of a designated EYFS classroom and conservatory, with its own toilets and wash basins.
It is within our academy consisting of four classrooms, a library area and a large school hall. The children will benefit from our recently extended Early Years outdoor area which is accessible from the classroom used by the youngest children.
Opening Times
Children can start the day after their third birthday. Morning only session times are Monday – Friday 8.45am until 11.45am and/or full day sessions run from 8:45am to 3:15pm We offer both 15 hours or the extended 30 hours funding.
Please take your child to the green gates of the EYFS outdoor area at the back of the academy. At lunchtime/end of the day the Key Person will see the children out.
Uniform
The preschool’s (non-compulsory) uniform consists of white polo shirts and royal blue sweatshirts. These can be purchased online or by visiting Stratfords in King’s Lynn (please visit our website for more information). Suitable footwear and trousers/skirts should be worn as the children will be accessing the outdoor area on a regular basis.
Wet weather trousers and coats will be provided, but each child should bring in a named pair of Wellingtons to leave at preschool.
